Visited Delhi,Agra,Haridwar in a single week!

Wow! What a rush.

This time we spent more time traveling than exploring the place. Went there by Indigo plane (sadly they didn't even provided the water , we had to purchase).

First stop was Delhi, where we spent the night for the early morning train to Haridwar.
Stayed in Haridwar for 3 days. Haridwar is a acronym for "Hari ka Dwar" meaning door to Lord Hari.

We thought we would miss the rain, but unfortunately we were dosed with rain :( and due to that Ganga became muddy and dirty. But that doesn't dampen the spirit of people who came here for "Punya" .

From there we went to Hrishikesh (which is also called Rishikesh) . One of the famous landmark is Laxman Jhula :

We thought we couldn't bath this time, but after long thought, we did it . Here is how Har-Ke-Piyari looks in night :

Next stop was Agra. We stayed there for 2 days. Here we saw Taj Mahal , Fatehpur-Sikri , Agra Fort.

Photos to follow soon...

The last place to visit was Delhi , which is also a historical place . Here according to DTDC , there are around 1308 places of interest present, which might take a whole month to explore.

Instead we choose few of the main attractions : Lal Qila, Lotus temple , India Gate, Iron pillar, Safardejung, Qutub minar , Gandhi samadhi etc.

Qutub Minar

Iron Pilar

Again Qutub Minar

Lal Quila

Moti masjid & Dewan-I-Khas (Kings drawing-room)

Dewan-I-Aam(Emperor used to sit here for daily court cases, it was Supreme court at that time)

Inside Dewan-I-Khas (It was decorated with gold at that time, now most of it is stolen)

Terracota work inside (done by Hindu artist/karigor)

Weapons used at that time

The Lotus temple was built by Bahai people. Bahai was created by some Muslim (forgot his name, sorry) after merging all the religious themes and for the betterment of people.

Lotus temple (Bahai Upasana mandir)

This is where Gandhi was cremated :

Another Moghol creation :

Safardajung

This is the one of the oldest Moghol buildings in Delhi. Built by Akbar, the great.
